We know the importance of selfcare and nourishing the soul. We can think of nothing better than enjoying delicious food and great local music with YOU, while we recognize Domestic Violence Awareness Month! NWFL has the privilege of partnering with Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley to recognize Domestic Violence Awareness Month with a benefit show featuring local musicians, Naomi Wachira and Zach Fleury.
Come enjoy music, food, and drinks while helping us END domestic violence! Doors open at 6:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
“Art is born from tension. And this tension is something that Seattle folk singer and songwriter Naomi Wachira feels every day as an African living in America. It’s the tension of any artist torn between two worlds, and the only way to overcome this is to create something that overcomes the divide. That’s why Naomi’s songs are so hopeful; they point toward a better future for all of us…”
"Zach Fleury is a NW artist, producer & session player. His work includes collaborations with Noah Gundersen, Hot Bodies in Motion, Allen Stone, Macklemore, and some film scoring for Lionsgate Film. In the last 2 years he’s put out two solo albums backed by Seattle String Mafia Be Still, Neverland, Egypt (2012) and The Tarzan Suite (2013). He’s currently planning a Spring/Summer tour and working on his 3rd, called Tapes & Reels.”
